The city of Auckland New Zealand is located on an isthmus in the middle
of the North Island. Greater Auckland is comprised of four distinct cities:
- City of Auckland (the isthmus area)
- Manukau City (to the south)
- Waitakere City (to the west)
- North Shore City (to the north)
