The weather is Wellington during the summer months rarely climbs much
above 23 degrees Celsius. In the middle of the winter, temperatures in New
Zealand's capital city infrequently fall below zero degrees Celsius.
As one moves away from the ocean, however, snow will occasionally fall on nearby
mountain tops during the winter.
It is a good idea to bring along a warm jacket as Wellington is known
to be quite a windy city.
